MY PEN BLEEDS

Adonis' grace has a torture she nurtures,
This all smile radiant smile face cries,
Silently, over the pinches of some tiny tumor,
My pen also bleeds!

My pen bleeds,
From the scratching fear that she will die,
While her world still lives,
From the stab of unassured bliss,
And the feeling that her light may never see the light.

My heart weeps,
My pen bleeds,
Copiously for stories she may never tell,
And the injuries which her rhyme won’t capture,
My pen bleeds like the uterus of a woman in labor.
