To A Frigid Heart

Scribbled in her codex: you, a victim.
The jaded ink shows names she has written.
Your words she thought flourished with attraction:
But nay, your tongue painted in deception.

A dandelion you were before her eyes;
Your thorns you hid with glamour as disguise.
Her scars rebelled and starved you of a room
To let your buds of thorns dilate and bloom.

Dwindling is her flame that once blazed with joy,
Fallen are the truths your lies did deploy.
Her heart that glowed far more than words could say:
Her heart that glowed; you made shimmers of grey.

Yet, like the amber sands that thirst for rain,
she bids the solitude to not remain.
